AMV sponsors Multi-faith peace picnic
to commemorate 9/11 anniversary - page two
From Samina Sundas, Executive Director of American Muslim Voice
Dear family and friends thank you so much for your encouraging comments. The Multi faith picnic was organized by American Muslim Voice along with Dave Cortese President Board of Supervisors along with faith and community organizations. We have been doing for over a decade now.
The Multi faith walk was organized by over 40 faith groups. Many individuals worked hard for the walk. It was truly labor of love. No amount of money can create such beautiful inspiring event. I wish there were more Muslims there to benefit from that infectious virus of practicing Islam in the main stream so our fellow Americans would learn and experience Islam from us Muslims.
How can we be Rahmah to for the world if we do not even know them? I thank Allah every day for all the blessings he sends to me in the form of so many diverse friends. So many of my friends helped because it is not easy to serve dinner to 600 guests even when the food is ready. A big shout out to all who helped yesterday. Please forgive me if I forget your name.

So many guests who stayed back to clean up when I did not have an ounce of energy left in me. I will always remember your kindness.
All the speakers and performers were amazing. And everyone enjoyed the the Dove release. It will take me a week to recover because my body is screaming. I pushed through it because I love hosting all my friends from all walks of life. Please remember me and my family in your duas, . So I am not kidding when I say it was truly labor of love.
The whole universe was aligned perfectly to honor the victims of 9/11 and to create peace harmony and a beloved world. in their memory.
With the support of September 11th Families for Peaceful Tomorrows we are striving to change this negative day into one of community and peace building.
